Policies 

Registration

  • Any person entering the property must immediately register with the Greater Lufkin AA business office.

  • Greater Lufkin AA will require all Dealers to complete registration information and additional information if requested.

  • A Copy of the Current State Dealers License must be submitted with all current information regarding registration information.

  • The Greater Lufkin AA business office must be notified in writing regarding any changes that involve the registration information.

  • All dealers must be registered with Greater Lufkin AA.

  • Greater Lufkin AA reserves right to access credit reporting agencies to obtain and verify credit history.

Business Policies

  • All persons on the Greater Lufkin AA property agree to abide by all Federal, State, County, and Municipal ordinances and laws.

  • All persons on the Greater Lufkin AA property agree to abide by all policies, procedures, and decisions of the Greater Lufkin AA.

  • All Vehicles on the premises of Greater Lufkin AA will be allowed to be reviewed by any governmental law enforcement agency.

  • Greater Lufkin AA reserves the right to refuse anyone the use of its services.

  • Greater Lufkin AA makes no representations or guarantees regarding any vehicle.

  • All transactions are subject to final approval through Greater Lufkin AA Management.

  • Any disputed transaction is to be immediately reported to the Greater Lufkin AA management.

  • Greater Lufkin AA reserves the right to search any package or vehicle entering or exiting the property.

  • Greater Lufkin AA makes no guarantees regarding the mileage of vehicles.

  • Any Dealer or agent causing damage to a vehicle or the premises will be liable for the cost to repair all damages.

  • Greater Lufkin AA reserves the right to charge $30 per day storage fees to units left on property.

Liability

  • Greater Lufkin AA assumes no liability for physical damage to vehicle, theft of contents or the vehicle, or any general liability while vehicles are being bought, sold or on consignment.

  • All persons who are Buyers, Sellers or Consigners, their agents and guest, agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greater Lufkin AA and any of its agents for any liability or claim.

Sale Procedures

  • Greater Lufkin AA will not be responsible for any statements or representations made by a seller, third party or consignor.

  • Only announcements made publicly by the auctioneer, on behalf of the Seller, will be deemed valid.

  • Payment is due on sale day unless otherwise agreed upon by Greater Lufkin AA Management. All units unpaid 24hrs after sale day will be assessed a late fee of $50.00 per day.

Seller Responsibilities

  • To ascertain and represent that the vehicle is in a condition safe for driving on public streets. If the vehicle is not safe to be driven on public streets, the Seller must disclose the relevant facts before the vehicle can be sold.

  • To provide Greater Lufkin AA a marketable title which is free and clear of any liens or encumbrances within 30 business days of the date the vehicle is sold. And to assist Greater Lufkin AA in obtaining a duplicate title should for some reason the title be lost.

  • Agrees to pay Greater Lufkin AA their fees for all vehicles that are returned because the title is not clear and marketable.

  • Agrees to pay Greater Lufkin AA their fees for all vehicles returned and arbitration fees against the Seller.

  • The seller agrees to pay all reasonable transportation charges.

Seller Declarations

  • The correct description, mileage and condition, including any relevant information regarding the vehicle.

  • Deployed or missing air bags.

  • Frame damage and/or repaired frames.

  • Police cars, taxi cabs, rebuilt units and theft recovery vehicles.

  • Any vehicle listed as “Major Damage Loss.”

  • Re-assigned identification numbers.

  • Vehicle missing or altered factory emission equipment.

  • The true correct odometer reading.

  • If the vehicle is not safe to be driven on public streets, the Seller must disclose the relevant facts before the vehicle can be sold.

Buyers Responsibility

  • Inspect vehicles before the sale begins.

  • It is the buyers’ responsibility to ensure that the miles and year of the vehicle printed are correct.

  • To make their bids known to the ring man or auctioneer.

  • To be aware of any announcements regarding vehicles made by the Greater Lufkin AA auctioneer.

  • Immediately acknowledge your acceptance of being the winning bidder and sign the block ticket for the vehicle.

  • Inspect all vehicles purchased within one hour after the sale of that vehicle is completed or before you leave the premises.

  • Pay the sale price and all fees by draft, cash, floor plan or check on the day of the sale before leaving the Greater Lufkin AA premises.

  • Remove all purchase vehicles from the Greater Lufkin AA premises within 45 calendar days form the date of the sale. Vehicles left on the premises after the seven days will be assessed a storage fee of $150 a day.

  • Any vehicles purchased and left on the premises over 90 calendar days will be disposed of by Greater Lufkin AA. The auction will hold storage fees out of the proceeds.

Titles

  • If a clear and marketable title is not provided to the auction within 30 business days after the vehicle is sold, the buyer may return the vehicle to the auction with a 24 hour notice.

  • No reimbursements will be made. Under no circumstances will a buyer perform any improvements to a vehicle until the title has been provided to them.

  • The buyer is responsible for any improvements made to a vehicle before the title is provided.

  • If a clear title cannot be provided to the buyer and the vehicle is returned by the buyer, it must be returned in the same condition as when it left the auction and not exceed three hundred miles from the date of purchase.

  • It is the sellers responsibility to declare if the vehicle has salvage, insurance dated, or not actual miles, or any other branded title issues. A clear and marketable title must be provided by the seller. If the title comes in salvage, insurance dated, etc… the buyer has the right to return the vehicle. Transportation costs will be reimbursed (not to exceed $300) to the buyer and Greater Lufkin AA  will assess a fee to be paid by the seller.

  • "IF" Bids

    • It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact Greater Lufkin AA to determine if the seller has accepted their “IF” bid. Upon Notification by the seller, the auction will attempt to notify buyers, but the responsibility remains with the buyer.

    • Sellers have 24 hours after the final vehicle is sold to accept or reject any “IF” bid. Failure to respond renders the buyer not responsible for the vehicle.

    • When the seller accepts the bid, the vehicle is considered sold and the buyer must immediately pay for the vehicle.

  • Vehicles Leaving the Premises

    • No vehicle will leave the premises without a current Greater Lufkin AA gate pass or receipt of payment.

    • It is the buyers responsibility to review and judge vehicle condition before bidding.

Payments

  • Per Greater Lufkin AA company policy, units purchased during Thursday's dealer sale must be paid for that day. The grace period for this payment is 48 business hours or by the following Monday by 5 PM. EACH UNIT not paid for within this time will incur a Late Payment Fee of $200.

  • Unit Sale prices and all associated fees must be paid using cash, floor plan or business check. (No personal checks allowed)

    • Any purchase price exceeding $100,000 requires a floor plan, ACH or payment wire.

      No Checks Allowed

  • When paying for multiple units by check, each check may not exceed $99,999.

  • If one check is written for multiple units, only one title is needed to process the entire check.

  • Buyers intending to use a floor plan must contact/confirm with Greater Lufkin AA prior to flooring.

  • Situationally, Greater Lufkin AA may add Accounts Receivable Fees to a Dealership’s account. These fees must be paid within 7 days of notice in order to keep good standing with Greater Lufkin AA.

Post Sale Inspection

Post Sale Inspection (PSI) Guidelines 2025

Inspection to meet NAAA standards ( with few exceptions)

Guaranteed against single item defects over $800

 

All PSI’s must be requested within 2 hours of the vehicle crossing the auction block per Bill of Sale timestamp or 1 hour after the last vehicle has crossed the block and the sale has ended. Whichever occurs first- includes all IF cars (even those waiting approval)

 

 

Regular PSI’s will not be offered on certain makes of vehicles including but not limited to: 

  • Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Corvette, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, Porsche, Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Rolls Royce, and Tesla. High-Performance vehicles, Race Cars Hybrids, Electric cars. 

  • Cadillac, Lexus, Subaru, Volvo, VW, Police and Government vehicles that are 8 years or less or over 100,000 miles. 

  • No diesels will be inspected to Green Light Standards. All Diesels inspected up to yellow light standards only.

  • Vehicles run as a special (S) under $3000 bid price, lemon buyback, flood damage, true miles and unknown and salvage titles Structural damage.

  • No guarantee on any Nissan CVT transmission , No Dodge/Ram/Jeep 5.7 Hemi engine tick

 

NO PSI’s will be offered on: 

  • AS IS

 

Online Courtesy Drive $100

Opinion ONLY ( No Guarantee)

Vehicle must be purchased online and does not qualify for a regular PSI SOLD with GREEN LIGHT, Buyer will be charged $50 for vehicles that fail. 

Regular PSI’s

FRAME GUARANTEE $50

10 years old or LESS. Any mileage, 7 days regardless of when picked up  or 150 miles- whichever comes first. 

2-Day Mechanical Guarantee $100

15 years old or less and under 150,000 miles 2 days regardless of when pick up  or 100 miles-whichever comes first.

7-Day Mechanical Guarantee $125

10 years old or less Under 140,000 miles, 7 days regardless of when pick up or 150 miles- whichever comes first.

7-Day Mechanical and Frame Guarantee $135

10 years old or less under 140,000 miles. 7 days regardless of when picked up  or 150 miles- whichever comes first


 

Post Sale Inspections 

 

With exceptions vehicles purchased on-line with no PSI become AS-IS 2 Hours after purchase. Vehicles not eligible for PSI become AS-IS, 2 hours after purchase.

 

We will not offer post-sale inspections on vehicles that are 8 years or older or more than 100,000 miles:  Cadillac, Lexus, Subaru, Volvo,  and Volkswagen, and Police and Government vehicles.

 

No Guarantee on any Nissan with CVT transmissions, or  Dodge/Ram/Jeep 5.7 Hemi engine tick

 

No diesels  will be inspected to Green Light standards. All Diesels inspected up to yellow light standards only

NOTICE: Any Vehicle Purchased Online in Excess of 140,000 Miles or more than 10 years old is NOT eligible for a Post-Sale Inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS

 

Guarantee Under Post-Sale Inspection

Guarantee on Mechanical to vehicles less than 140,000 miles and 10 years old or less. Guarantee 7 days regardless of when picked up or 150 miles, whichever comes first (voided in  the event of collision or damage due to transportation). Electrical only covered on vehicles up to 4 years old

 

Auction  guarantees against “visible” frame, cross member damage, aprons, upper  reinforcement rail damage or replaced (unibody). Damage to roof support,  pillars, rocker panel damaged, repaired or replaced (unibody). Floor  panels torn, perforated or replaced. Frame or unibody altered.

Repairs

Any  repairs under Post Sale Guarantee must be approved by Auction. GLAA will pay up to $3,000, subject to limitations and approval. Single item defects less than $800 are deemed minor and not subject to arbitration.

Arbitration

For inlane purchases the arbitration period ends 2 hours after purchase or 1 hour after last car crosses the block, which ever is sooner.

For both in lane and online purchases, this includes "IF" sales.

For both in lane and online purchases, PSI and Courtesy Drives must be purchased Tuesday night within 2 hours after purchase or 1
hour after last car crosses the block, which ever is sooner. This restriction also includes "IF" sales.

All PSI's and courtesy drives must be requested on Thursday.

Online and In Lane buyers must agree to terms and conditions of GLAA.  We DO NOT arbitrate frames on vehicles announced salvage or re-built or ten years or older.  These are assumed to have or had frame damage and airbags deployed.

Any Title Announcements will not be Eligible for a Post Sale Inspection. Examples include Rebuilt/Salvage, Flood, True Miles Unknown, Etc.
